Only some national parks in Thailand can provide accommodation services but most of them can provide tourists some space and area with restroom and WC facilities for tent camping. Some has a restaurant but some national parks are under developing or improving their facilities, therefore they may not have any facilities for serving tourists at all. So, tourists should study an information of each national park, including defining the definite your travel destination before getting there. Especially, prepare your body readiness and your travel gear for your adventure. The followings are some regulations and practical guides that tourists must concern when travelling in the national parks.

Bungalows, Terrace houses or Young Hostes of each national park for tourist are mostly located in the same area of the national park office. These type of accommodation can serve about 2 persons and up but some national parks can provide tourist a campsite for serving tour group up to 50- 60 persons. Most houses are in the good conditions and could serve tourist with beds, pillows, blankets. Most of them were equipped with water and electric supplies but some national parks may control the on and off time of water and electricity in order to save their budget and energy resources. So, tourists must help us to save them too. Interested persons who would like to reserve houses or bungalows you must make their reservations in advance by connect through www.dnp.go.th or calling to the National Park Office, The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation at telephone number +66 2562 0760

Camping with Tents : Tourists can make their tent camping in the defined areas that national parks have already prepared for tourist services. Most of this camping areas would have serviced bathrooms and restrooms to serve men and women separately. In case tourists don't have their tents, some national parks could provide them.

Suggestions of tent camping are as follows : Chooses a plain area with no draining way of water and no hole of ant. In the raining season, should have plastic sheet to cover on the top of tent. If sleeping mat or foam sheet is available, please use it as your bed because it would be warmer than you sleep on the empty ground.

Food : Most of national parks provide restaurants and food shops for tourists. Who don't like to cook food by themselves can buy some food there. However, please check this information first before starting your journey because some national parks don't have any restaurants. In case tourists want to cook by themselves, please prepare and bring some kitchenware such as pot, pan, knife, chopping block, dish, fork and spoon, etc. The important thing is the picnic gas or charcoal stove because in the area of national parks do not allow tourists to make fire. Tourists should buy food materials, fresh food or dried food from outside before arriving at national parks. However, in case tourists don't like to cook food by themselves, they may ask or hire housekeepers of national parks to cook food for them at negotiated price.

Travel Season : There are different travel season for each national park, some national park may be most beautiful in the winter season while some may be most beautiful in summer season. Thus, tourists should find out this information prior to take their journeys, especially islands of the marine national parks would have limited time of travelling because the problem of monsoon season, for example marine national parks on the Andaman coast would have the different travelling season from other place if tourists go there in the wrong time, they would not find any boats or ships to take them to their required national park. Regarding the terrestrial national parks, some would be closed in some season, for example the peak of Phukra Deung Mountain of the Phokra Deung Naitonal Park would be closed in the raining season. However, most of them open all year round but tourists may have some problems of journey in the raining season because some road to some national parks may be irksome and need to use the 4-wheels-drive car. In addition, in the raining season, some caves and waterfalls may not be safe for travelling because they have been flooded inside of caves or have a strong running water which is very dangerous and not suitable for swimming in some waterfall areas.

Clothing : Visitors wanted to travel in the forest of national parks should dress in plain-color outfit harmonious with nature, for examples, in gray, blue, green, or brown color that makes the visitors have better chance in finding animals on trekking trails. Dressing in long sleeve shirt and full-length trouser can protect visitors from being bitten by mosquito and other insects. Some national parks have many leeches so visitors should wear socks and shoes to prevent their foot from being bitten by the leeches (but beware, they can climb to bite other parts of visitors' body). In addition, visitors should wear hat to protect themselves from sunlight, prickle, and insect. In addition, visitors wanted to travel to the sea in the national parks should dress in lightly casual wear and do not forget to bring hat, sun block, and sun glasses together.
